On Thursday, and again on Friday, Ars Nova Dallas presents Igor Stravinsky's engaging L'Histoire du Soldat, or The Soldier’s Tale. This piece musically tells the parable of a soldier who trades his fiddle to the devil for the ability to predict the economic future, an especially prescient topic in this day and age! Written in a style foreshadowing his neoclassical period, Stravinsky's The Soldier’s Tale is sure to delight every audience member. Paired with this will be several works, some of which will be world premieres, culled from the festival's first ever international call for scores!
